Black Cherry Spooky Halloween Nachos

Black Cherry Spooky Halloween Nachos

Nachos…but make it Halloween. We’ve got you covered! With a good Nacho recipe you have just what you need to feed a group in a hurry while accommodating every palette. This nacho recipe makes for an easy and fun Halloween meal and features spooky chips made using tortillas and cookie cutters!

Cook up this dish with friends and family and even involve your little ones! We used flour-based tortillas to make our chips but you could also use a corn-based option to make them gluten free.

Get your favourite Halloween cookie cutters out of the drawer and let's make something fun.

INGREDIENTS:

2 Sweet Peppers finely chopped
½ can of black beans
• ½ sweet onion finely chopped
5-10 Tortillas
2 cups of shredded cheese
Olive oil
Salt
Your favourite Pepper North sauces

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat your open to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then shred 1 cup of cheese and set aside.
Next, shape your chips with cookie cutters.
Take all your shapes, and place on a cookie sheet, brush in olive oil, sprinkle salt and pepper, then bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes, or until they are crispy. Be cautious not to overcrowd the pan.
With your scraps just toss in olive oil and cook at once (we used these on the bottom of our nachos to let the shapes take centre stage.
If you have your own nacho recipe, you can build how you like, we went with a vegetarian option, frying blackbeans, onions and peppers. Then of course shredded cheese on top and queso.
Drizzle hot sauce over your nachos or serve on the side and let your diners choose their added flavour and heat level!
